Log delivery in Longton, Meir and south Stoke

We cover Longton, Meir, Meir Heath, Normacot, Fenton, Trentham and Stoke itself, plus Weston Coyney, Blythe Bridge, Forsbrook, Caverswall and Barlaston. Everything comes on our own trailer, not by courier, and we ring you first to agree a day and time.

We don't currently deliver to the north of the city (ST1, ST2, ST5 and ST6, so Hanley, Bucknall, Newcastle, Burslem and Tunstall). Put your full postcode into the checker and if it isn't covered, ring us on 01889 567449 and we'll tell you straight.

Stoke is in our outer area, so a larger order brings free delivery. Two cubic metres, or a cubic metre with a couple of bulk bags, sets you up for the winter in one drop.

Terraces, entries and tight streets

Plenty of homes round Longton, Fenton and Meir are terraces with an entry at the back, on-street parking or a small yard. Tell us how we get to where the wood needs to go when you order. If the trailer can't tip at your door, bulk bags and barrow bags can be placed where we can reach.

Smoke control areas in Stoke-on-Trent

Parts of Stoke-on-Trent are smoke control areas. There you can burn logs only in a Defra exempt stove, and an open fire needs an approved smokeless fuel. Whatever you burn, it has to be dry: our kiln dried logs are under 20% moisture and Ready to Burn certified (WS7474/00001). For an open fire, Wildfire and Homefire Brazier are suitable smokeless fuels and come on the same delivery.

Which logs suit a Stoke home

For a modern log burner, kiln dried logs light quickly and keep the glass clear. Short logs fit the smaller stoves and fireplaces common in older terraces, and kindling with wood wool firelighters gets the fire going without chemical smells. Not sure how much you need? Our log calculator works it out from how often you light the fire.
